Moon Bo Hyun Chief PD of KBS2′s Heaven's Mandate told he thinks about the debate surrounding Song Ji Hyo′s acting skills.
In the press conference for Heaven′s Mandate held on May 7, he said that her skills are "undervalued.""I believe it′s because her image in the variety show Running Man is so strong. She is more well known as the ′ace′ of Running Man, and her blank character is so strong that it also leads into issues over her acting skills," he said.

Song Ji Hyo appears in the drama as Hong Da In, a proud palace nurse. Many viewers, however, reviewed that her character doesn′t mix with the drama itself.

Moon Bo Hyun added, "We expected such reactions, and it′s a question we and Song Ji Hyo must overcome. Her work doesn′t fall behind those of the other actors in Heaven′s Mandate. We believe opinions about her acting will improve as the drama continues to progress."

Heaven′s Mandate is about the fight of a Joseon doctor to save his daughter while running from his false murder charges.

  1. Does we take us all for fools? I liked her in Frozen Flower but she has no chemistry with Dong Wook; she is so pretty IRL but she looks old and tired in this drama. I don't know what is wrong but something is is off with her acting - she is coming off as cold and aloof. The sister and tomboy are shining in their roles and that child actress is superb. I am actively rooting for the tomboy and Wookie. Sorry but this is not Ji Hyo best work.
