SBS Kpop Star Season 2 Winner 'Akdong Musician' to join YG Entertainment

The winner of SBS’ ‘K-Pop Star 2’, Akdong Musician, finally made its choice between the big 3 agencies and signed with YG Entertainment!
YG Entertainment announced through a press release, “We can’t reveal the specific details of the contract, but we’ve been meeting with Akdong Musician and their parents, and have completed the negotiations for the contract. We plan to formally sign them within a few days.”

This talented duo garnered a lot of attention for performing self-composed songs for the ‘K-Pop Star 2’ competition and showing a lot of musical potential despite their young age. The group commented, “We thought that the place that would support our music the best is YG. We want to make better music in a good environment.”
